VP - Small Business Banking & Lending

About the Role

Premier America Credit Union seeks a Vice President to build the credit union's small business banking and lending capabilities and lead a team of business banking professionals in a strategic leadership role focused on growth and client service.

What You'll Do

• Team Leadership: Builds and manages a Small Business Banking team through recruitment, performance management, and professional development while fostering a results-driven culture.
• Sales & Development: Executes strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets, acquires new clients through prospecting and referrals, and deepens existing relationships by offering comprehensive banking solutions.
• Risk Management: Oversees credit processes, manages expenses and compliance, ensures adherence to policies, and assesses risk appropriately in business decisions.
• Operations: Maintains consistent management routines, monitors service levels, resolves member issues, and stays current on market trends and the competitive landscape.
• Collaboration: Partners across departments and with branch managers to leverage organizational capabilities and identify cross-business referral opportunities.

Requirements

• 10+ years related business experience; 5+ years sales management; 5+ years business banking
• Portfolio management of business clients ($1M–$10M annual revenue)
• Established local professional network
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Proven team coaching and development abilities
• Business development and negotiation expertise
• Deep business credit, underwriting, and risk management knowledge
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred

Pay & Benefits

$150,000–$225,000/yr.
