FoLAR (Friends of the LA River)

Friends of the Los Angeles River (FoLAR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1986 whose mission is to protect and restore the natural and historic heritage of the LA River and its riparian habitat. My Valley Pass is the San Fernando Valley's leading visitors guide and event production company, operating myvalleypass.com — a directory of SFV restaurants, attractions, and things to do. They produce signature community events including Valley BlockFest (a 200-plus-vendor street festival), the SFV Film Tour, an annual Memorial Day Parade, and an Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Fan Zone at Hansen Dam Lake. My Valley Pass also runs neighborhood tours and family-friendly activations throughout the year.

SOW donates 100% of their harvest four days a week to Latinx, Black, immigrant, and low-income families. They host free community events, regenerative agriculture workshops, and youth climate career internship programs.

Founded in 1951, the San Fernando Valley Japanese American Community Center (SFVJACC) is a 4.5-acre Pacoima campus dedicated to preserving Japanese culture and the Japanese American experience through education, events, and community activities. Facilities include a gymnasium, commercial kitchen, meeting rooms, and a 7,000-square-foot social hall seating 400. The center serves over 1,000 families and hosts 18 organizations offering bonsai, calligraphy, sports, youth programs, and the annual Obon Festival.

West Coast Singers LGBTQ+ Chorus of Los Angeles

West Coast Singers LGBTQ+ Chorus of Los Angeles is an 80-plus-voice mixed chorus welcoming singers of all orientations and skill levels. Founded in 1983, it is the third-oldest LGBTQ+ chorus in the nation. WCS produces two major concerts yearly — a holiday concert in December and a spring concert in June — plus community and festival performances throughout the year. Members rehearse weekly from September to June. The chorus is a GALA Choruses affiliate and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
