Director, Mortgage Operations

About the Role

This leadership position oversees all mortgage lending operations at Premier America Credit Union's Chatsworth location. The director manages processing, underwriting, and funding while partnering with sales teams to achieve business objectives and maintain regulatory compliance.

What You'll Do

• Direct mortgage operations including processing, underwriting, and funding functions
• Lead pipeline management and loan closing/shipping processes
• Partner across departments to enhance workflows and member experience
• Develop and implement new lending products aligned with strategic plans
• Monitor regulatory changes and update procedures for compliance
• Analyze data and prepare reports for leadership and regulatory agencies
• Manage budgets and third-party vendor relationships

Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years in mortgage underwriting, processing, closing, or funding with progressive leadership experience
• Proven management skills including employee training and development
• Experience in large bank or credit union environments
• Extensive knowledge of government programs, underwriting guidelines, and loan requirements
• Understanding of real estate appraisals and transactions
• Formal leadership training completed
• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field (preferred)

Schedule

Hybrid, full-time — based in Chatsworth, CA.
