VP, Content Strategy — WB Animation

Your New Role

The VP, Content Strategy for WB Animation develops and implements content licensing strategies for original productions, builds strategic third-party platform relationships to support project monetization, and identifies and capitalizes on new content opportunities.

Your Role Accountabilities

• Create content strategy plans, working closely with business operations to implement business strategies; build alignment with development and creative teams.
• Identify licensing opportunities in the domestic marketplace for both new and returning series; negotiate key topline licensing terms with external platforms.
• Identify first window international licensing opportunities for new series as needed.
• Coordinate with the WBTV distribution team to find collaborative opportunities for original productions.
• Oversee internal and external presentations regarding content currently in production/development.
• Act as liaison between WB Animation departments (Production, Business & Legal Affairs, etc.) to streamline communication and decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in content strategy, content licensing, or media distribution.
• Strong knowledge of animation content and the domestic and international licensing landscape.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with network and platform partners.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Pay Range: $161,000–$299,000 per year.
