Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer (MBSE)

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Woodland Hills, CA is seeking a Systems Engineer (MBSE) or Principal Systems Engineer (MBSE). This role supports enterprise digital transformation through Model-Based Systems Engineering, DevSecOps, and Agile practices. Full-time on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop model profiles, system diagrams, architecture frameworks, and model queries in MBSE tools
• Integrate with multi-disciplinary teams to transform requirements and technical information into MBSE tools
• Provide recommendations from analysis results to optimize system performance and ensure compliance
• Support development of architecture models; perform model configuration management
• Interface with technical leads, product owners, program management, and government customers
• Actively participate in Agile development including iteration planning and status

Basic Qualifications

Systems Engineer (Level 2): BS in STEM + 2 years OR MS + 0 years Principal Systems Engineer: BS in STEM + 5 years OR MS + 3 years OR PhD + 1 year

• Active US Government Top Secret security clearance
• Demonstrated ability to create flexible, robust models of complex systems
• Experience in Systems Engineering functions: requirements capture, system diagrams, goal definition
• Working knowledge of MBSE standards
• US Citizenship required; full-time on-site availability required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DoDAF 2.0 modeling in CAMEO environment
• Proficiency with SysML or other systems modeling languages
• Experience developing software in C++ and Python

Primary Salary Range: $91,800-$137,600/year Principal Level Salary Range: $114,000-$171,000/year
