Supervisor Food Services

Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA is seeking a Supervisor Food Services. This is a per diem position working 8-hour Variable shifts. Providence Holy Cross is a four-time Magnet®-designated hospital.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily food service operations including meal preparation, service, and delivery
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards
• Coordinate staffing and scheduling for the food service department
• Train and mentor food service employees
• Monitor food quality and patient satisfaction; address concerns promptly
• Maintain accurate records for food costs, inventory, and regulatory compliance
• Coordinate with nursing and clinical staff to meet patients' dietary needs
• Oversee cafeteria and patient tray line operations

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years food service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Food Handler's Certificate or ServSafe certification
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Ability to work variable shifts as per diem

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Food Science, Nutrition, or Hospitality Management
• Experience in hospital or healthcare food services
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets
