Food Service Attendant

Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, CA is seeking a Food Service Attendant. This is a part-time position working 8-hour Variable shifts. Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana is recognized as one of the best regional hospitals in 9 types of care by U.S. News & World Report.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to patients, staff, and visitors in accordance with dietary requirements and meal schedules
• Deliver meal trays to patient rooms and retrieve used trays promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the cafeteria, serving areas, and equipment
• Assist with food preparation duties as directed
• Stock and replenish food service supplies
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols
• Provide friendly, patient-centered service

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Food Handler's Certificate or ability to obtain one
• Ability to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous food service or hospital experience
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and dietary restrictions
