Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner - Respiratory Therapy

Providence Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, CA is seeking a Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner for the Respiratory Therapy department.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services and Clinical Coordinator, this senior-level position is responsible for administering and charting all aspects of respiratory therapy under the supervision of the medical director, with additional leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer advanced respiratory therapy treatments including mechanical ventilation, high-flow oxygen therapy, and bronchoscopy assistance
• Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to junior respiratory care staff
• Perform complex patient assessments and document care accurately
• Respond to and lead respiratory emergencies and code situations
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team on complex patient management
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education

Required Qualifications

• Active California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required
• 3+ years of acute care respiratory therapy experience
• BLS and ACLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• NRPP specialty credentials (NPS, ACCS, or similar)
• ICU/critical care respiratory therapy experience
• Leadership or charge experience
