Staff Engineering Program Manager

About the role

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Woodland Hills, CA seeks a Staff Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to serve as Deputy EPM on the Sentinel Program — an inertial measurement system development program. Full-time, on-site. Clearance required to obtain (not required at start). Travel ~10%.

What you'll do

• Lead engineering execution for airborne navigation systems across the full program lifecycle
• Serve as primary engineering interface to Program Manager, Chief Engineer, and functional organizations
• Oversee CAM responsibilities: budget allocation, IMS maintenance, earned value, and cost-to-complete estimates
• Develop staffing plans and Work Load Forecasts (WLF) with functional managers
• Proactively identify and drive down program execution risks across IPTs
• Review and defend engineering proposal estimates and BOEs
• Ensure adherence to NG processes, configuration management, and major review criteria (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR)

Requirements

• Bachelor's in STEM or related field with 12+ years; or Master's with 10+; or PhD with 8+
• U.S. citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Secret clearance
• Extensive experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams as EPM or IPT Lead
• Deep experience with EVM, CAM responsibilities, and cost/schedule/technical performance management

Preferred: Advanced STEM degree, PMP certification, active Secret/TS clearance, EVM/CEAC/IBR experience

Pay & benefits

$177,000–$265,600/yr. Full-time, on-site Woodland Hills. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, education assistance, and annual bonus.
