Principal / Senior Principal Systems Engineer

About the role

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Woodland Hills, CA seeks a Systems Engineer with strong requirements development, test, and verification experience. Proficiency with IBM Rational DOORS required. Active Secret clearance required at start. Relocation assistance may be available. Travel ~10%.

What you'll do

• Work with customers to identify unique requirements, flow them into design documentation, and build and test against them
• Present to customers on product capabilities, performance analyses, design information, and verification methods
• Generate and manage requirements sets covering mechanical, electrical, data, environmental, and reliability aspects
• Lead Agile teams to ensure designs meet system requirements
• Provide test directions for production and troubleshooting tests

Requirements

Principal level (5+ yrs BS / 3+ yrs MS / 1+ yr PhD in STEM):

• Active/current U.S. Government Secret clearance
• IBM Rational DOORS experience; technical baseline management; test case development; V&V
• U.S. citizenship; on-site Woodland Hills

Senior Principal level (8+ yrs BS / 6+ yrs MS / 4+ yrs PhD in STEM): same requirements

Preferred: MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, Ethernet, Agile/JIRA, MBSE/Cameo, ClearCase

Pay & benefits

$114,000–$171,000/yr (Principal); $142,200–$213,400/yr (Senior Principal). Full-time, on-site Woodland Hills. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, education assistance, and 9/80 schedule.
