Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Staff Embedded Software Engineer in Woodland Hills, CA, developing embedded software for cutting-edge Navigation systems.
What You'll Get to Do
- Develop embedded software for advanced Navigation systems
- Perform software and system integration on state-of-the-art hardware
- Learn Model Based Engineering (MBE) and work in an agile, collaborative environment
- Collaborate with peers across the organization
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's in STEM + 12 years software development experience; Master's + 10 years; PhD + 8 years
- Demonstrated capability to translate formal software requirements into software designs
- High-level programming languages: C, C++, Java, or scripting languages such as Python
- Experience using software management tools: ClearCase, Git, ClearQuest, or Jira
- Ability to work in a collaborative development environment
- Experience in software test development and performance
Preferred Qualifications
- Active U.S. Government Secret clearance
- Experience with DOORS for requirements management
- MATLAB/Simulink model-based software development
- Familiarity with INS/GPS Kalman filter design
- Experience with DO-178B/C safety-critical software certification
- Hands-on experience with MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, or RS-422
- Real-time safety-critical embedded systems development
- Navigation and/or Integrated Avionics System development experience
Salary Range
$177,000–$265,600/year. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, paid holidays and PTO.
