About the Role
Software Engineer II on the Rights & Accounting fleet within Content Platforms & Operations at Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology. You'll work across Rights Management supply chain applications, building and supporting test automation and quality processes for Disney's content rights management systems.
What You'll Do
- Build automated test frameworks and suites on UI, API, and Integration levels using Python or other OO languages
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, support automation testing, troubleshooting, and documentation
- Assist with triage, diagnosis, and resolution of issues across teams
- Contribute to end-to-end acceptance tests; drive conversion of manual tests to automated
- Participate in code reviews and planning; serve as a resource for less experienced engineers
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in a software engineering role
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on software test development experience
- Knowledge of Agentic workflows and MCP design patterns; familiarity with AI-powered APIs and tools
- Strong expertise in SQL, relational database concepts, stored procedures, and data modeling
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Python
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-based data warehousing (Snowflake)
- Experience building or improving test automation frameworks
- Experience in CI/CD integration (Jenkins, Spinnaker, or similar)
- Experience in UI automation (Selenium, Playwright)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering
Preferred Qualifications
- Media and entertainment industry experience
- Knowledge of content rights, licensing, and availability product management
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Cursor, etc.)
- Experience with AWS Lambda, Kafka, PostgreSQL, NoSQL
Pay & Benefits
$117,500–$157,500/year. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided in addition to full medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
