Global Security Design & Engineering Intern, Spring 2027

About the Internship

Global Security Design & Engineering Intern supporting Disney's Security Design and Engineering team in Glendale, CA. The team develops and deploys security technology including video and access management, predictive analytics, perimeter security, visitor management, and counter-UAS solutions.

Internship: January 2027 – June 2027, full-time (~40 hours/week) in Glendale, CA. Must provide own housing and transportation.

What You'll Do

• Assist with physical security R&D testing, evaluation, and documentation
• Help establish the COE process, governance model, and general program development
• Assist in organizing and facilitating COE communication and program activities
• Assist with quality assurance and control for design documentation and field construction
• Provide technical input to project team members as required

Requirements

• Enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree (or in a Disney College Program)
• At least 18 years of age with unrestricted work authorization
• Working knowledge and strong interest in physical security technology and software
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
• Strong written and spoken communication skills; experience drafting executive summaries
• General knowledge of AI tools, automation platforms, and agent-based technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in R&D and technology evaluation
• Familiarity with Confluence
• Junior or Senior preferred; coursework in Engineering, Computer Science, Security, or related field

Pay

$23.00/hour
