About the Internship

KABC (ABC7) in Glendale, CA is one of the most technically advanced television stations in the country. This internship provides hands-on experience in broadcast technology while contributing to daily operations of a major-market TV station.

Dates: January 2027 – early June 2027 | 40 hrs/week

What You'll Do

• Network, deploy, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software
• Work on preventative maintenance, broadcast automation systems, and IP transmission systems
• Provide help desk resolution and troubleshooting
• Install systems for a variety of station technology
• Work on remote productions including newscasts and live community parades

Requirements

• Academic or work experience in TV, technology, IT troubleshooting, or problem solving
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Operating Systems
• High attention to detail; comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Valid U.S. driver's license required (company vehicle use required)
• Junior or Senior pursuing Computer Science, IT, Networking, Engineering, or Radio/TV/Film

Preferred

• Computer building, imaging, or Help Desk support experience
• Knowledge of networking devices (switches, routers, firewalls)
• Familiarity with Adobe Premiere, broadcast technical systems, or cloud computing

Pay & Logistics

$18.47/hr | On-site in Glendale, CA | Must provide own housing and transportation
