Senior Data & Business Intelligence Lead

Role Summary

Under general supervision, the Senior Data & Business Intelligence Lead supports University Advancement Services through data governance, business intelligence, reporting, analytics, prospect research, and advancement technology, strengthening fundraising operations through better data quality, actionable insights, donor strategy support, and improved reporting tools.

Major Duties

• Develops, implements, and maintains systems, processes, and data structures supporting prospect management, moves management, and fundraising operations
• Serves as subject matter expert during prospect strategy sessions, portfolio reviews, and fundraising planning meetings
• Provides data-driven fundraising projections, pipeline analyses, forecasting models, and strategic recommendations to leadership
• Develops and applies advanced data mining, segmentation, and predictive analytics using Tableau, SQL, Power BI, and related platforms
• Conducts research and analysis of biographical, professional, financial, philanthropic, and organizational information for donor strategy
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field plus four years of relevant experience (or equivalent substitution)
• An advanced degree may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Advanced knowledge of advancement data systems, prospect management, fundraising operations, data governance, and BI tools
• Ability to evaluate and improve data quality and partner with campus technology stakeholders
• Advanced knowledge of Tableau, SQL, Power BI, and related data visualization/reporting platforms
• Demonstrated prospect research and donor capacity/affinity analysis skills

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule

• Classification: 0405 / Data Analytics Developer III / 1
• Hiring range: $7,284–$9,237/month; classification range: $7,284–$10,611/month
• Benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement & savings, and tuition waiver
• Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday; may include evenings/weekends
• Regular position with a one-year probationary period
• Currently hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days remote), subject to change
