Sample Preparation Technician

About the role

The Sample Preparation Technician prepares samples, analytical standards, calibration standards, reagents, and other laboratory solutions for analytical testing in accordance with approved SOPs and test methods, supporting Chemists and Senior Chemists.

What you'll do

• Clean, wash, inspect, and prepare laboratory glassware and equipment
• Receive and prepare samples by homogenizing, grinding, or other required procedures
• Accurately weigh and transfer samples according to analytical specifications and SOPs
• Perform sample extraction, digestion, dilution, and filtration
• Prepare analytical/calibration standards, QC and spike solutions, reagents, and other lab solutions, including labeling and documentation
• Assist Chemists and Senior Chemists with laboratory setup
• Perform routine equipment cleaning, instrument checks, and limited preventive maintenance when trained
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
