Programs and Services Specialist - Substitute

About the Role

Glendale Community College is seeking a substitute Programs and Services Specialist to provide specialized technical and administrative support for student programs and services on an as-needed basis.

Pay: $32.06/hr | Type: Temporary substitute

Essential Duties

Student Services:

• Serve as technical resource to students, employees, and the public; respond to complex inquiries
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct student orientations, workshops, and outreach activities
• Advise and guide students on program eligibility requirements; screen applications; award funds or services
• Monitor ongoing program eligibility; verify enrollment, academic progress, and visa status

Administrative Support:

• Research and resolve account discrepancies; process invoices and reimbursement requests
• Gather, compile, and report data; prepare reports for state and federal authorities
• Maintain secure and confidential student files and records
• Plan and coordinate events; may maintain program websites and social media

Requirements

• Education: Associate's degree or equivalent
• Experience: 3 years clerical/administrative experience assisting students, including 2 years providing technical support in an academic setting
• Skills: Financial and data management; student services program knowledge; strong customer service; confidentiality; proficiency in office software
