About the Role
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is currently hiring a Production Project Manager 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This is an individual contributor, non-manager role with no direct reports.
This position is required to be full-time, on-site in the Northridge, CA location. No remote/telework arrangement is available.
The primary objective of this role is executing multiple projects to achieve performance goals in support of the AARGM / AARGM-ER portfolio, overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects, and serving as the liaison between program management, integrated product teams, and supporting functions.
What You'll Do
- Support the Sr. Program Manager for the AARGM/AARGM-ER program: managing schedules, preparing status reports, coordinating cross-functional engagement, and assessing project risks
- Manage all phases of program and project execution
- Manage schedule for development, production, and product upgrades
- Prepare status reports and communicate project status to management
- Support and at times lead identification of risks and mitigation activities
- Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention/problem solving with program managers and customers
- Establish prioritization across the AARGM-ER portfolio aligned with business objectives
- Participate in process improvement initiatives
- Manage proposal activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6 years, in project management or operations (12 years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree)
- 3+ years leading complex, multi-disciplinary production projects from concept through full-rate production
- Experience with PMI-style project management (schedule, cost, risk, Earned Value Management)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with Risk, Issues, Opportunities and Mitigation Plans
- Certified CAM / EACs experience
- Strong PowerPoint presentation skills
- Ability to meet objectives with little guidance
- Understanding of executing work per an integrated master schedule (IMS)
Schedule
Full-time, on-site in Northridge, CA. No remote/telework option. Travel: 25% of the time.
Pay & Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00 (base pay; final offer depends on experience, education, skills, and market conditions). Employees may also be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
