Principal / Senior Principal Logistics Engineer

About the Role

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Logistics Engineer to work with the Specialty Engineering Team in Woodland Hills, CA, growing Integrated Logistics and Product Support Engineering. This position is contingent on program award.

What You'll Do

• Support logistics engineering activities as a technical resource from a program's concept/proposal phases through development, test, production, and post-production support
• Support logistics design influence efforts to meet system performance requirements
• Analyze and interpret technical data (drawings, manuals, specifications) to develop technical and logistics data
• Create/update reports such as task analysis, maintenance plans, and provisioning requirements
• Perform/develop/update Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)
• Develop maintenance concepts for the most affordable and effective mission readiness solution
• Support activities that sustain system operation and maintenance
• Provide regular status to the Integrated Product Team (IPT)

Requirements

Principal level: Bachelor's + 5 years, Master's + 3 years, or PhD + 1 year of relevant experience in logistics or life cycle support.

Senior Principal level: Bachelor's + 8 years, Master's + 6 years, or PhD + 4 years of relevant experience in logistics or life cycle support.

Both levels:

• Experience developing logistics supportability analysis per MIL-STD-1388, GEIA-STD-0007, or MIL-PRF-49506
• Knowledge of Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and Life Cycle Cost Analysis modeling
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills
• U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance; full-time onsite in Woodland Hills, CA

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a STEM discipline
• Experience in military maintenance and sustainment support
• Engineering design background generating designs, models, and drawings
• Experience developing LSA products in tools such as EAGLE or SLICwave
• Experience with Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation
• Experience using LSA data for technical publications or IETMs
• Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance

Schedule

Full-time, onsite in Woodland Hills, CA. Travel: 10% of the time.

Pay & Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00 (Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00 for higher-graded fills). Employees may also be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
