About the Role

Under general supervision, performs clerical, administrative, and public safety dispatching duties for the District police department. Receives and responds to routine and emergency calls/requests for police, fire, medical, and related public safety services; dispatches District police officers to incidents; contacts, receives, maintains, and processes police reports, parking citations, and other records; provides information to the public in compliance with departmental policy and legal requirements.

Work Schedule: 40 hours/week, 12 months/year. Position may require non-standard hours (nights and weekends).

Pay & Benefits

$4,791.89–$5,283.06/month starting salary (Step 1–Step 3 depending on education and experience). Full salary range: $4,791.89–$6,115.80/month (plus longevity where applicable).
