Operations Legal Specialist

About the Role

An experienced professional managing legal operational functions, compliance workflows, and serving as a subject matter expert in legal processing while collaborating across business lines.

What You'll Do

Processes legal requests (levies, subpoenas, garnishments, power of attorney, trusts, etc.) through completion, including research and documentation. Responds to escalations, reviews inquiries from law enforcement and government agencies, and contacts document preparers to resolve inconsistencies. Maintains departmental records, handles federal and state compliance activities, manages withholding remittances, assists with system testing, and drafts policy updates. Coordinates with attorneys and management on sensitive inquiries.

Requirements

• Three (3) to five (5) years of similar or related experience, including minimum two years handling legal processes
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
• Thorough credit union product knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Strong confidentiality practices
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Solid math and bookkeeping abilities

Schedule

Full-time, Chatsworth, CA.
