Operating Room Assistant, Surgery

Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA is seeking an Operating Room Assistant for their Surgery department. This is a full-time position working 8-hour Evening shifts. Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team in the operating room by setting up equipment, instruments, and supplies before and after procedures
• Transport patients to and from the operating room
• Clean and prepare OR suites between cases, including terminal cleaning
• Restock supplies and maintain inventory in the OR
• Assist with positioning patients under the supervision of the RN circulator
• Transport specimens, medications, and equipment as directed
• Support sterile processing by decontaminating and transporting instruments

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work evening shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hospital or surgical setting
• CNA or OR technician experience
• Familiarity with surgical instruments and sterile technique
