Manager Rides-Technical Services

About the Role

The Manager, Technical Services (Rides & Attractions) maintains strategic and daily operational plans for Rides & Attractions at Universal Studios Hollywood, providing technical guidance for all attractions — Audio, Special Effects, Projection, Lighting, Set/Scenic, Props, Show Action Equipment, Animated Figures, Ride Mechanical Systems, Ride Control, and Show Control Systems.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate and assign technicians to set up, install, repair, and maintain all equipment and venue operations
• Maintain documentation and daily activity reports for all attractions
• Ensure Ride & Attraction equipment meets the highest safety standards
• Mentor Ride & Attraction Technicians and build strong team cohesion
• Oversee technical interaction with engineers, vendors, and sub-contractors on Show and Ride systems
• Partner with HR and Labor Relations to uphold collective bargaining agreements
• Develop training programs and workforce planning for the department

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years operating a theme park, theatre, or related business
• 3-5 years of operations management/team leadership experience
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays

Pay & Benefits

$90,000-$120,000/year plus bonus. Eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid leave, and tuition reimbursement.
