About the Role
NBCUniversal is seeking a Manager of Facilities Engineering to oversee a team of Engineers and support staff, ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure across both low- and high-rise buildings. You will coordinate all maintenance activities, manage vendor relationships, and collaborate with contractors to keep facilities safe, efficient, and compliant.
What You'll Do
- Oversee chiller plants and other critical infrastructure supporting sites, data centers, and critical spaces
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems including critical infrastructure
- Manage all MEP and critical infrastructure preventative maintenance programs and annual service calendar
- Monitor N4 BAS systems to optimize energy use and systems performance
- Develop weekly workplans and assign maintenance work orders via CMMS and mobile platform
- Coordinate and oversee annual LAFD REG4 testing
- Work with Critical Infrastructure System team on ArcGIS platform and emergency response strategies
- Assist Asset Management team developing EAM processes and asset tagging accuracy
- Manage vendor and 3rd party contracted services
- Partner with NBCU departments on compliance and safety tasks (AQMD, OSHA, ADA)
- Support emergency preparedness initiatives; attend drills and exercises
- Work closely with Director of Facilities on capital project planning and annual operating budgets
- Support multiple sites within the Los Angeles area
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 10+ years in building engineering, facilities operations, or critical infrastructure
- Working knowledge of Class A commercial building operations and fire/life safety testing (LA REG 4)
- Demonstrated proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and BAS systems
- Valid Class C Driver's License

- OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification
- Associate's degree or technical certification in building systems
- EPA Universal Certification for refrigerants
- Tridium N4 knowledge
- Relevant trade license (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, low voltage)
Schedule & Pay
On-site, full-time. Flexible hours and travel as needed. Salary range: $120,000–$145,000/yr (bonus eligible). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid leave, and tuition reimbursement.
