Facility Helper

About the Role

NBCUniversal is seeking a Facility Helper to assist the Engineering team with operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems, mechanical equipment, grounds, and infrastructure — responding to service calls, escorting vendors, and collaborating across departments to keep the facility safe and compliant.

What You'll Do

• Manage lighting inventory — change bulbs and replace ballasts
• General plumbing repairs: clear floor and roof drains, gutters, fixtures, and toilets
• Support engineers with filter replacement, coil cleaning, and condensate line clearing
• Minor door, lock, flooring, and furniture repairs
• Interior and exterior painting, staining, and general carpentry
• Move and build furniture; assist with event set-ups
• Create and complete CMMS work orders via mobile platform
• Record utility meter readings
• Support vendor and 3rd party contracted services
• Participate in emergency preparedness drills
• Debris removal, rain preparation, and storeroom inventory
• Respond to service requests and emergencies during and after business hours
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and ADA requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 1+ years of facilities or related trades experience
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Valid Class C driver's license
• Demonstrated proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and BAS systems

Schedule & Pay

On-site, full-time. Flexible hours required. Salary range: $30–$35/hr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid leave, and tuition reimbursement.
