About the Role
The Engineering Supervisor works closely with the Manager of Facilities Engineering to supervise the Engineering team across both low- and high-rise buildings, overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of central plants, mechanical equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, building envelopes, and grounds.
What You'll Do
- Execute weekly workplans with preventative, corrective, and reactive maintenance work orders via CMMS and mobile platforms
- Support central chiller plants and other critical infrastructure
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Partner with Facility Operations on all MEP and critical infrastructure preventative maintenance programs
- Participate in annual LAFD REG4 testing
- Monitor N4 BAS to optimize energy use and systems performance
- Work with Critical Infrastructure System team on ArcGIS platform and emergency response strategies
- Drive EAM processes with Asset Management team; ensure asset accuracy in Master Asset List
- Oversee vendor and 3rd party contracted services
- Ensure compliance with AQMD, OSHA, ADA, and other regulatory requirements
- Support emergency preparedness; attend drills and exercises
- Enforce safety and fire prevention regulations
- Support multiple sites within the Los Angeles area
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 7+ years in building engineering or a related field
- Working knowledge of Class A commercial building operations and fire/life safety testing (LA REG 4)
- Demonstrated proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and BAS systems
- Valid Class C Driver's License

- Associate's degree or technical certification in building systems
- OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification
- Tridium N4 knowledge
- EPA Universal Certification for refrigerants
- Relevant trade license (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, low voltage)
Schedule & Pay
On-site, full-time. Flexible hours and travel as needed. Salary range: $95,000–$110,000/yr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid leave, and tuition reimbursement.
