Environmental Test Engineer, Level 4

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Woodland Hills, CA is seeking a Senior Environmental Test Engineer (Level 4). This senior role leads environmental test planning, execution, and reporting for complex systems and hardware. Full-time on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of comprehensive Environmental Test Plans and Procedures for dynamic and climatic environments
• Own and drive qualification and verification/validation test campaigns including planning, scheduling, execution, and closure
• Develop and defend Basis of Estimates for environmental test efforts (labor, equipment, risk, schedule)
• Define and oversee design of test fixtures, harnesses, and special test equipment
• Ensure rigorous adherence to test procedures, standards, configuration control, and safety requirements
• Provide technical direction, mentoring, and training to test engineers and technicians
• Lead data review and analysis; author test reports and technical presentations
• Conduct Environmental Test Lab assessments and lead Continuous Improvement projects

Basic Qualifications

• BS in STEM + 8 years OR MS + 6 years of relevant experience
• Significant experience leading environmental test and qualification activities for complex hardware/systems
• Ability to obtain US Government security clearance
• Full-time on-site availability in Woodland Hills, CA

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience with MIL-STD-810 (810G/810H) environmental testing
• Hands-on experience with Vibration Research (VR) and ObserVIEW software
• Experience with Thermotron 8800 environmental chamber controllers
• Familiarity with MBSE methods and tools

Salary Range: $129,300-$193,900/year
