About the Role
Glendale Community College is seeking a Professional Expert in Entertainment Technology to advise on the planning, development, and launch of the new ENTECH program. This is a project-based, temporary assignment.
The ENTECH program prepares students for careers in live performance, event production, concerts, theatrical productions, festivals, theme parks, and nationally televised events.
What You'll Do
- Advise on curriculum design for live sound, lighting, staging, rigging, video, and event production
- Recommend industry-standard equipment, facilities, and phased procurement strategy
- Serve as liaison with IATSE and entertainment industry labor organizations
- Advise on workforce entry pathways, internships, and apprenticeship-aligned experiences
- Support outreach to production companies, venues, and entertainment organizations
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in entertainment technology, live performance, or large-scale event production
- Expert-level knowledge in at least one technical discipline (sound, lighting, rigging, staging, video)
- Knowledge of OSHA and entertainment-industry safety protocols
- Experience collaborating with IATSE or similar unions highly desirable
Pay
