Instructional Support Operator - Immersive Technologies

About the Role

Glendale Community College is hiring an Instructional Support Operator to provide technical support for immersive technologies, including Dreamscape Learn, 3D printing, VR systems, and related technologies.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm · 40 hrs/week

What You'll Do

• Support students and instructors in VR labs, makerspaces, and hands-on learning environments
• Guide students in the use of VR systems, simulation software, 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, and fabrication equipment
• Prepare and maintain lab environments; manage equipment check-in/check-out and inventory
• Provide technical support for software, LMS, and standard applications; coordinate with IT for repairs and updates
• Schedule lab usage and track student participation in compliance with FERPA

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent
• 2 years of experience supporting VR, immersive technologies, makerspace, or fabrication environments
• Knowledge of VR systems, 3D printing, laser cutting, and related equipment

Pay & Benefits

$5,289–$5,832/month starting (range up to $6,751/month)
