Communications Manager

About the Role

Communications Manager supporting The Walt Disney Company's Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) brands — Disney+, Hulu, and the streaming bundle. Reporting into the Sr. Manager, DTC Communications, you'll develop, manage, and execute external corporate communication strategies. Four days per week on-site in Burbank.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with stakeholders across DTC and DEEPT, marketing, and publicity teams on broader storytelling about brand campaigns
• Develop and maintain a deep network of press relationships across corporate, business, trade, consumer, and entertainment outlets
• Drive a robust external communications strategy for streaming brands
• Contribute to PR plans, messaging documents, and written materials
• Support executive communications including award submissions, speaking opportunities, and speechwriting
• Assist with brand reputation and crisis response, including press monitoring and issue tracking
• Track, analyze, and synthesize industry reports into insights for internal stakeholders

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in public relations, publicity, or external communications
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; AP style proficiency
• Experience writing press releases, fact sheets, biographies, and executive talking points
• Deep knowledge of the earned media landscape with strong existing media relationships
• Experience crafting corporate narratives and messaging

Preferred Qualifications

• Entertainment industry experience
• Experience with creative tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.)
• Familiarity with Disney's streaming brands and content

Pay & Benefits

$115,500–$154,800/year. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided in addition to full medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
