About the Role
Northrop Grumman's Defense Systems sector is seeking an AARGM Production Program Manager to support the Advanced Weapons Business Unit in Northridge, CA. This position is required to be full-time, on-site in Northridge. No remote/telework arrangement is available. Applicants must have a current US Government Secret security clearance with the ability to get cleared for SAP.
The Production Program Manager will lead and manage production of the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile (AARGM), an air-launched, counter-air-defense weapon system for U.S. and FMS customers, overseeing production contract execution phases including kick-off, planning, material procurement, manufacturing, and delivery.
What You'll Do
- Lead and direct cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectives
- Manage DoD customer relationships and measure/report program performance
- Develop and brief executive-level presentations to customer leadership and program stakeholders
- Participate in negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and terms and conditions
- Support and at times lead development and adherence to budget baselines using Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar methodologies
- Identify, allocate and manage program resources, including workforce planning
- Coordinate with the Government Property team on GFE/CFE
- Support management of Intercompany Work Orders (IWO) and Independent Suppliers
- Support development and adherence to master plans and integrated master schedules
- Conduct risk & opportunity management including identification, mitigation and realization
- Support and lead proposal preparation as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years of program management experience, or Master's degree and 6 years
- 4+ years managing production programs and leading cross-functional teams in aerospace/defense
- Experience leading tasks on schedule and at/under cost as a project lead, IPT lead, or cost account manager
- Experience with executive-level PowerPoint presentations
- Management of firm fixed price (FFP) projects
- Proficiency in EVMS, Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and Risk and Opportunity Management
- Current US Government Secret security clearance with ability to get cleared for SAP
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in science, engineering, or business
- PMP certification
- Experience managing programs as the Prime Contractor for DoD systems
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
Schedule
Full-time, on-site in Northridge, CA. No remote/telework option. Travel: 25% of the time.
Pay & Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range: $161,100.00 - $241,700.00 (base pay; final offer depends on experience, education, skills, and market conditions). Employees may also be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
