WDI Project Engineering Intern, Spring 2027

About the Role

Walt Disney Imagineering is the creative force that imagines, designs, and brings to life all Disney theme parks, resorts, attractions, and cruise ships worldwide. This internship runs approximately January 2027 – June 2027 in Glendale, CA.

What You'll Do

• Assist the Project Engineer or Design Manager with architecture and facilities engineering project coordination, from conceptual design through construction of themed entertainment projects
• Help coordinate A/E design documents, models, specs, and basis of design across WDI Divisions (Creative, Show, and Ride) and Operational Stakeholders
• Help organize and facilitate big-room/Integrated Concurrent Engineering (ICE) sessions and design reviews
• Support quality assurance and control for design documentation and field construction
• Help resolve questions arising from construction documents, field conditions, and contractor RFIs
• Track facility punch lists and coordinate the document release process between disciplines
• Provide technical input on project decisions and contractor change orders

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Building Information Management (BIM)
• Comfortable using computer technology for CADD drawing generation
• Experience working with punch lists in a construction environment
• Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher, earning a degree in Engineering, Architecture, or similar
• At least 18 years old with unrestricted work authorization

Schedule & Logistics

• Must be fully available for the duration of the internship
• Must provide own housing and reliable transportation in Glendale, CA

Pay & Benefits

• $31/hr (undergraduate) or $36/hr (graduate)
