About the Role
Within the team structure, the Teacher provides quality preschool services for children enrolled in CCRC's Early Care and Learning Program — classroom management (80%) and administrative functions (20%).
What You'll Do
- Ensure agency/state-required reports are timely and accurate
- Complete weekly lesson plan goals for review and feedback
- Collect observations for ongoing child assessments
- Read, analyze, and apply DRDP (2015) data to set child and center-specific goals
- Apply age-appropriate practices and comply with licensing, DCFS, and IEP/IFSP requirements
- Encourage parental involvement and maintain a safe learning environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Education, Family Studies, or related field, with 24 semester units in Early Childhood Education and 3 units in Infant/Toddler Development (internal candidates may qualify via Associate's Degree + waiver program)
- 2 years' experience with families/children in a preschool setting
- Valid First Aid/CPR (upon hire or within 30 days); current CA Teacher Permit or above (or documented pending application)
- Background check required
