About the role
CCRC (Child Care Resource Center) is hiring a Home Base Educator in Sylmar to conduct home visits, parent interviews, and developmental screenings for enrolled families, and to case-manage a caseload of 10-12 families through Head Start home-visiting services.
What you'll do
- Plan and conduct weekly home visits and monthly socialization groups
- Conduct parent interviews, family needs assessments, and developmental screenings
- Provide families with activities and guidance on child development, home safety, and nutrition
- Refer families to community and agency services
- Manage a caseload of 10-12 families, including case reviews and recordkeeping
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or related field, with 24 semester units in ECE and 3-6 units in infant/toddler development
- Related work experience in Child Development, ECE, Home Visiting, or Head Start settings
- Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate within 30 days of hire
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
Schedule
~25% travel to client homes and regional trainings.
