Teacher Designee

Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) is hiring a Teacher Designee for its Early Care and Learning program.

Pay: $25.00/hr | Full-time

About the Role

Under general supervision, the Teacher Designee provides classroom instruction to children birth to 5 years old using activities designed to stimulate learning. Develops individual goals for infant, toddler, and pre-school aged children, provides ongoing assessments, and facilitates activities to prepare for kindergarten. Guides and supervises subordinate teaching staff.

Responsibilities: Classroom Management (80%), Administrative Functions (20%)

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (minimum 24 semester units in ECE, including 3 in Infant/Toddler Development)
• 3 years of related work experience in Child Development or Early Childhood Education
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate upon hire
• Current Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or above (or documented pending application)

Preferred

• Master's Degree in ECE or related field
• Experience with IEPs/IFSPs and specialized behavioral curriculum
• 2+ years supervisory experience in an ECE program
• Bilingual in English and Armenian or Spanish

Schedule

Full time, 40 hours/week. Overtime may be expected. May require non-traditional hours including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends. This position requires 10% travel between San Fernando Valley and Antelope Valley.
