Expected hourly pay rate: $20.00

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Within the team structure, the Teacher Assistant provides quality preschool services for children enrolled in the Early Care and Learning program:

• Interactions with Children and Families (80%)
• Staff Relationships (10%)
• Administrative Functions (10%)

Non-Essential Duties (under 5% of role)

• Assures general maintenance and security of facility; assists with inventory of equipment and supplies
• Active engagement in parent meetings, including presentations and material setup
• Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications – Minimum Required

• Education: 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education, including 3 units of Infant & Toddler Development (or completion of CCRC's Teacher Aide Apprenticeship for internal applicants)
• Certifications: Current Teacher Assistant Permit or above per the CTC Matrix (or documented pending application, received within 90 days of hire); valid First Aid/CPR certificate upon hire or within 30 days
• Technical: Intermediate skills with Zoom, Outlook, and Microsoft Suite; basic knowledge of standard teaching practices, instructional strategies, and Community Care Licensing regulations
