About the role
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Software Engineer based in Woodland Hills, CA. You'll be part of the Enterprise-wide digital transformation effort, delivering critical national defense products using C/C++, Model-based Engineering, DevSecOps, and Agile practices. Full-time on-site required.
Clearance required at start: Active Top Secret clearance (enrolled in Continuous Evaluation).
What you'll do
- Develop C/C++ software to modernize and productionize research codebases
- Build software infrastructure for CI/CD, software metrics collection, and MLOps
- Implement software systems and architectures for increased modularity, scalability, and reliability
- Apply and maintain industry software engineering best practices
- Work closely with Software Leads on program intent, system capabilities, and output requirements
Requirements
- BS in STEM + 2 years experience; or MS in STEM + 0 years
- Active Top Secret clearance enrolled in Continuous Evaluation
- Experience in C/C++; ability to code new software and modify existing software
- Ability to debug software and correct defects
- Experience with open software/system architecture solutions
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based source control
- Ability to work onsite full-time
Preferred:
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux operating systems, CUDA/GPUs
- High-performance numerical/scientific computing, parallel computing
- Experience developing for SWaP-constrained environments
- Familiarity with signal-processing algorithms and Agile/Scrum/DevSecOps
Pay & benefits
- $91,800–$137,600/yr
