Senior Principal EMI/EMC Electrical Engineer

About the role

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Woodland Hills, CA is seeking a Senior Principal EMI/EMC Electrical Engineer. This is a mid-to-senior level position for an electrical engineer experienced in hardware design, design analysis, and EMI/EMC engineering. Full-time on-site required (9/80 schedule — every other Friday off).

Clearance required at start: Active US Government Secret clearance.

What you'll do

• Perform electrical circuit analysis, test, and troubleshooting
• Support development of EMI/EMC requirements and hardware design requirements at sub-system level
• Perform design analysis to verify EMI/EMC compliance
• Work within Model-based Engineering, DevSecOps, and Agile practices

Requirements

• BS + 8 years, MS + 6 years, or PhD + 4 years in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field
• Prior experience in analog circuit design, modeling, and simulation
• U.S. Citizenship; active US Government Secret clearance
• Electronic hardware design experience
• Knowledge of MIL-STD 461, MIL-STD 464, and DO-160
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC simulation, modeling, and testing
• Experience with PSPICE modeling and simulation
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Woodland Hills, CA

Preferred:

• MS in Electrical Engineering
• Proficiency with CST CAE tools
• Experience with EMP simulation, modeling, and testing
• Signal integrity analysis using Cadence or Siemens HyperLynx tools
• Sub-system and system level EMI/EMC testing experience
• Knowledge of Ansys EMC Plus circuit simulation and modeling

Pay & benefits

• $142,200–$213,400/yr
• 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off)
