About the Role
The Senior Manager, Software Engineering leads compliance and risk engineering within NBCUniversal's Legal & Privacy organization. This role translates complex regulatory obligations (GDPR, CCPA, and others) into scalable, resilient engineering solutions, leading a team delivering compliance automation, AI solutions, risk controls, and regulatory technology platforms.
What You'll Do
- Lead software and quality engineers delivering compliance automation, AI solutions, risk controls, and regulatory tech platforms
- Own the engineering roadmap for the compliance and risk pillar
- Translate regulatory requirements into technical deliverable plans
- Oversee systems for Ethics & Compliance, Regulatory Compliance Automation, Risk Management Tooling, GRC Operations, and AI/ML Governance
- Serve as the senior technical voice for compliance and risk engineering
- Manage system reliability, performance, defect management, and incident response
- Hire, retain, and develop the compliance and risk engineering team
Requirements
- 8+ years software engineering with 4+ years in engineering management or senior technical leadership
- 5+ years leading ML and automation solutions; 3+ years deploying AI solutions
- Working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and related compliance frameworks
- Proven ability to influence and communicate at SVP/VP levels
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent)
Work Mode & Pay
Fully remote. Salary: $140,000–$200,000 (bonus eligible). Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement.
