Senior Manager, Design/Construction Projects

About the role

This senior manager oversees all phases of the design and/or construction process for highly complex construction and refurbishment projects — generally $150-250 million in cumulative budget responsibility — defining project parameters (time, money, objectives, constraints) and managing project teams of facility personnel, project staff, general contractors, and consultants.

What you'll do

• Manage teams in establishing scope, budget, and schedule, and maintain commitments through design, construction, and close-out
• Provide guidance during all design stages of medical and/or regional facilities, including economic comparisons of development schemes
• Negotiate fees, and review/approve consultant and contractor invoices and change orders
• Negotiate with local and state jurisdictions; manage timely procurement of required permits
• Supervise on-site design and/or construction teams and communicate status with leadership
• Manage large-scale project delivery from initiation to close-out, ensuring financials stay within budget allocations
