Senior Designer, Apparel & Accessories

About the Role

The Universal Brand Development Group is seeking a Senior Designer for Product Design Development within the Universal Products & Experiences Consumer Products division. You'll lead the creative development of apparel and fashion accessories—including bags, headwear, and footwear—bringing world-class IPs like Jurassic World, Minions, and Shrek to life in trend-setting products.

What You'll Do

• Analyze market trends (streetwear, luxury, etc.) to develop innovative product concepts merging character aesthetics with modern fashion
• Lead translation of macro and micro fashion trends into cohesive, trend-led storytelling
• Provide detailed design feedback to licensees on textiles, specialty construction, and graphic placement
• Adapt and expand Universal's style guides for complex garment and accessory constructions
• Manage daily creative workflows by reviewing licensee submissions via Lunchpad
• Partner with Category Management, Legal, and Franchise teams to deliver competitive products

Requirements

• 4+ years of industry experience in apparel/accessories design
• Portfolio demonstrating fashion trends translated into licensed products
• Strong technical proficiency in design tools
• Experience across the full product development lifecycle (concept to shelf)

Pay & Benefits

$90,000–$105,000/yr · Hybrid · Full-time
