About the Role
The City of Glendale is conducting an open examination for Police Services Officer Trainee—an at-will, full-time position. This trainee classification works under close supervision in several Police Department areas, including Parking/Traffic Enforcement and Investigative Services.
What You'll Do
- Participate in training leading to progressively responsible tasks in the Police Department
- Develop skills from on-the-job training to meet classification performance standards
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees, customers, and other City departments
- Operate position-related software, equipment, and tools safely and effectively
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing
- Strong customer service, ethics, teamwork, and safety awareness
- Ability to obtain required certifications and complete the probationary period
