About the Role
The City of Glendale is seeking an Ambulance Operator Coordinator for the Fire Department's Emergency Medical Services Program. This non-sworn mid-management position plans, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the effectiveness of the Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance transport component of EMS. Reports to the EMS/Fire Battalion Chief.
What You'll Do
- Manage Ambulance Operator personnel, staffing, recruitment, onboarding, and training
- Ensure regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and operational readiness
- Plan and evaluate the BLS ambulance transport component of EMS
- Manage assigned program resources and coordinate with emergency services teams
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing
- Strong customer service, ethics, teamwork, and safety awareness
- Supervisory and program management experience in emergency medical services preferred
