Physician Assistant II / NP II - Neurosurgery, Part-Time (Woodland Hills)

About the role

Kaiser Permanente (Woodland Hills) is hiring a Physician Assistant II / NP II for its Neurosurgery department, part-time, on-site, evening shift. PAs/NPs provide care to patients with acute episodic conditions, chronic problems, and complex medical or surgical conditions requiring an intensive level of care and advanced specialty certification, under physician supervision.

What you'll do

• Collect subjective and objective patient data (history and physical exam)
• Develop an assessment/diagnosis and management plan
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; order pharmacologic interventions
• Facilitate referrals to appropriate health facilities and resources
• Manage the ongoing care of patients with complicated medical or surgical conditions

Requirements

• Formal internship and/or equivalent on-the-job training in the specialty area (neurosurgery)
• Ability to function in an expanded role providing primary, acute, or emergency care

Part-time, On-site, Evening.
