Patient Services Specialist – Admitting

About the Role

Providence Tarzana Medical Center is seeking a part-time Patient Services Specialist for Admitting. This role registers patients in a professional and timely manner, conducts patient/guarantor interviews, explains hospital policies and financial responsibilities, and ensures accurate documentation for the admissions process.

What You'll Do

• Register patients and conduct patient/guarantor interviews
• Explain hospital policies, financial responsibilities, and patient bill of rights
• Handle routine patient inquiries related to the registration process
• Accurately document demographic and financial data into the ADT system
• Identify appropriate payor sources and ensure pre-certification/authorization is obtained

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• California Fire and Life Safety Card within 30 days of hire
• Preferred: some college, 2 years experience in a hospital, medical setting, or physician's office
• Preferred: Certified Patient Account Tech certification upon hire
