Patient Access Scheduling Representative – Per Diem

About the Role

Adventist Health Glendale, a 515-bed Magnet®-designated hospital located between Burbank and Pasadena, is seeking a per diem Patient Access Scheduling Representative. This role schedules patients for facility services based on physician orders, including ancillary, surgical, and medical testing/procedures/admissions.

What You'll Do

• Take telephone requests for authorizations, prepare referral requests, and collect patient data
• Complete scheduling processes, resolve conflicts, and cancel/revise appointments as needed
• Provide patients with preparation instructions, timing, and location information per facility guidelines
• Maintain electronic health record (EHR) referral documentation and track patient compliance

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent preferred
• Associate's/Technical degree in business or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred
