About the Role
The Disney Music Group (DMG) is the music hub for The Walt Disney Company, spanning recorded music (Walt Disney Records, Hollywood Records), Disney Music Publishing, and Disney Concerts. The Music Research team works with production partners across Disney's studios on music cue sheets, ensuring accurate reporting to performing rights organizations.
What You'll Do
- Communicate with production stakeholders on Soundmouse onboarding and training
- Review quarterly promo reports and create music video cue sheets for PROs
- Review, edit, and approve domestic, international, and Parks & Resorts cue sheets
- Research songs, music rights, and interested-party information for cue sheet prep
- Locate and provide cue sheets for owned, acquired, and licensed content
- Coordinate transfer and retrieval of assets from physical archive storage
Requirements
- 1+ years of professional experience; college degree or equivalent
- General music industry knowledge (publishing, licensing, performing rights)
- Familiarity with cue sheets and automated cue sheet programs (Soundmouse, RapidCue) preferred
- Must be available on-site 4 days/week (Monday–Thursday); Fridays remote
Pay & Schedule
$51,000–$66,000/year based on a 40-hour week. Full-time, on-site in Burbank, CA.
