About the Role

Maintains responsibility for the overall operation and administration of multiple laboratories, providing medical direction to laboratory staff and coordinating medical services for physicians and patients. Directs and supervises all clerical and technical laboratory staff, and monitors the lab's financial performance and regulatory compliance.

What You'll Do

• Direct and supervise staff, coordinate scheduling, hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations
• Maintain and review lab statistics and trend reports to improve daily operations and workflow
• Develop, implement, and monitor the operating budget across multiple laboratories
• Oversee quality control and ensure compliance with CLIA, FDA, CAP, Joint Commission, AABB, and OSHA regulations
• Set departmental goals and implement operational plans to meet them

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological sciences, chemical sciences, or allied health (required); Master's preferred
• Seven years' clinical laboratory experience preferred; five years' leadership experience preferred
• Valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in state of employment (required)
• ASCP or NCA certification preferred
