Manager, Digital Engineering

About the Role

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Digital Engineering Manager 2 based out of Woodland Hills, CA. This is a fully onsite position working a 9/80 schedule. The role is 80% program activities and 20% staff management. A U.S. Government security clearance is required.

What You'll Do

• Manage/oversee engineering design, development, verification, and transition to production of digital devices (FPGA, SoC, ASIC)
• Develop and implement processes with emphasis on quantitative management and continuous improvement
• Provide technical guidance on cost proposals and program activities
• Coordinate staffing requirements and skill mix with discipline leads
• Mentor team members and provide career development paths
• Conduct performance/salary reviews, approve timecards, and manage HR matters

Basic Qualifications

• BS in STEM + 8 years experience; or MS in STEM + 6 years experience
• Experience leading a team on technical development or production support
• Understanding of engineering processes and tools for digital design and verification
• Experience with FPGA, SoC, or ASIC
• Experience with PLM tools and BOE generation/review
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain U.S. Government security clearance
• Must work full-time onsite in Woodland Hills, CA

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a technical field; current/active SECRET clearance
• Experience with System Verilog, UVM, Hardware-In-Loop verification
• Model-based Engineering experience (MATLAB, Simulink)
• Safety critical designs (DO-254)
• Technical project management with EVMS experience

Pay & Benefits

$161,100–$241,700/yr. Eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, paid holidays, and PTO.
