About the Role

KABC-TV (ABC7) — Glendale, CA — is the #2 TV market station in the country, producing 63+ hours of local news per week and leading LA in digital reach and social media following. This intern role supports the digital team's Spanish-language coverage for ABC7 en Espáñol.

Internship runs January 2027 through early June 2027, full-time in the Glendale newsroom.

What You'll Do

• Translate ABC7 news reports from English to Spanish across digital platforms (website, app, social media)
• Collaborate with the newsroom on coverage for Spanish-speaking audiences
• Post content to digital and social platforms
• Create social media assets using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and Premiere

Requirements

• Fluent in English and Spanish (translate, write, and publish in both)
• Knowledge of AP Style
• Social media platform experience
• High attention to detail; able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

• Prior experience or coursework in digital media, journalism, or broadcast
• Adobe Premiere and Photoshop experience
• Junior or senior year standing

Eligibility

• Enrolled in an accredited college/university (at least one class) OR in a Disney College Program/Internship
• At least 18 years old; unrestricted work authorization
• Available 40 hrs/week, Mon–Sun (nights/weekends possible)
• Must provide own housing in the Glendale area

Pay

$18.47/hr
